This versatile LED light board is fabricated on a 1.6mm thin aluminum printed circuit board (PCB) containing surface mounted Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). These are the brightest LED light panels available today, with crisp, brilliant lighting across the entire surface of the module. LED modules can serve as a primary direct light source, or as a backlight device (behind a diffusion panel or transluscent graphic). As opposed to edge-lit panels which have LEDs along two or more edges, these LED modules are covered with surface mounted LEDs across the entire panel. This 12-inch x 12-inch LED module has 196 LEDs per panel. Price includes power supply. Color temperature 5500K (daylight). Brightness ~3300 Lumens. That's three times brighter than a 75 watt incandescent light bulb. Includes AC/DC Power Supply and power input cable (plugs into a regular wall outlet). Estimated lifetime of 120,000+ hours (independent analysis by Cree Durham Technology Center). Five year warranty. Possible uses include signs, ceiling lighting (architectural lighting), floors, walls, furniture, retail displays, lighted shelves, casework, back lighting stone, stained glass, faux window or skylight, under cabinet lighting, drawing tables, thin and ultra-thin lightboxes and is also an excellent photo light source for professional photograpers.
